Testimonials

"Timothy O'Keefe is a knowledgeable, talented and personable sound designer.  He takes direction well and always offers the best possible results. I highly recommend Timothy to any production large or small.  ...Just make sure he has room in his schedule for Whatif Productions.  We plan on working with him often."

-Fred Skoler, Whatif Productions

"Tim was instrumental in composing and designing sound levels for a musical interactive game called “Frequency”. Harmonix’s underlying music and audio technology required a combination of a good sense of MIDI, in house DLS sound design tools, and media asset management. As the tools he was using were under constant development, Tim was helpful in troubleshooting and making recommendations. As much of the tools were tedious and arcane in nature, Tim provided feedback in a clear and technically articulate manner. Due to the nature of limited CPU resources for digital signal processing the application required, Tim had the challenge of not only sound design, but composing compelling music while being mindful of issues relating to limited sample set, polyphony and effects processing of the application’s software synthesizer."

-Francis Phan
Phanai Entertainment (formally of Harmonix)

"Timothy understands both musicality and sensuality when it comes to producing original sounds. He approaches the challenge stealthily, attacks it like a tiger, and cans it like a pro. Timothy knocks!"

-Jay Critchley, Performance/Video Artist

"Tim’s sound design for Gotham Is Safe Again! created a dark graphic novel sensibility without sacrificing the heart of the story.  He was a great collaborator, with the tools and the know-how to get the effects we wanted.  His creation of a gigantic evil force, only heard in the play, was nothing short of brilliant."

-Vanessa Gilbert, Artistic Director, Perishable Theatre

"With a few e-mails and a draft of the piece I had within a few days a series of sounds to choose from, and within the time-span of a weekend my chosen sounds and sound effects were composed in a fashion that not only fitted but enriched the quality of my piece."

-Natalie Zannettou, Architect/Video Artist
